On
October 10, 2006 Nalbach Engineering Company was awarded U.S. patent
7,117,987 for its next generation high-speed plastic bottle
unscrambler.
The trade name for this system is
NECOSORT-III.
The NECOSORT-III's patented design employs a sorting drum that is
turned vertically, significantly reducing the overall footprint of
the system and has only two moving parts providing significantly
less maintenance and downtime when compared to older technology
systems.
According to John C. Nalbach, President of Nalbach Engineering
Company and the inventor of the NECOSORT-III, “The first
NECOSORT-III was installed in April of 2005 to sort feed 500 ml
water bottles at a rate of 600 bottles per minute. Since then we
have sold over $3.9 million of these systems and have released 4
different models of the NECOSORT-III, the fastest running at 1,000
bottles per minute.â€
Nalbach also states, “All our customers to date are multi-billion
dollar multinational companies and are leaders in their respective
industries. It is very satisfying to see these world class companies
selecting our next generation technology to help them improve
efficiencies and reduce cost.â€
Nalbach Engineering is also in the middle of a plant expansion to
meet the growing demand for the NECOSORT-III. This expansion will
increase the area of their manufacturing plant by 50% and is slated
to be completed in December of 2006.
