Nalbach launches new economically priced rotary indexing auger filler
for moderate speed,
high accuracy and low maintenance applications.

Expanding on its product solutions for dispensing powders, granulars, and
flakes, Nalbach Engineering
Company announces the release of a new family of rotary indexing auger fillers,
the i-Series.
The i-Series
has been specifically designed to provide high fill accuracy and a minimum of
maintenance for moderate speed applications up to 100 products per minute.
The i-Series features a gear base with servo drive motor, a direct infeed indexing starwheel turret, Nalbach’s servo driven auger fillers with touch screen control, Nalbach’s Advanced Seal Module and Nalbach’s product settling systems.
The use of a gear driven base virtually eliminates backlash and significantly reduces maintenance associated with chain driven bases and the direct infeed indexing starwheel turret provides an economic and reliable container control system.
Nalbach’s product settling systems are air or motor driven; bottom, side or step product settling systems, tailored to meet the unique needs of each customer’s container/product combination.
The Advanced Seal Module provides faster fills, higher throughput, cleaner operation, improved fill accuracy and improved product settling. With Nalbach’s patented “elliptic hyperboloid” design, product flow is improved providing faster fills and higher throughput while the “seal bellows” improves reliability of the filler-container seal and reduces attenuation of the product settling vibration system providing clean fills, improved fill accuracy and product settling.
Nalbach’s servo driven auger fillers with touch screen control incorporate PLC controlled brushless, direct drive, servo motor systems providing superior fill accuracy and reliability while dramatically reducing mechanical failures and downtime by eliminating most moving parts. The user-friendly graphical menus allow operators to easily access the product memory for fast set-up and accurate control of all filling operations.
All Nalbach auger filling systems feature self centering tooling resulting in faster changeovers and cleaning times, stainless steel product contact parts and aluminum structural parts for exceptional durability, an empty hopper function for quick product changeovers, “Smart Agitator” technology to extend agitator life, product memory capable of storing filling parameters for up to 120 SKUs with one button recall, and weight set-up software that quickly, easily and automatically sets-up fill parameters.
The i-Series offers the option of Nalbach’s Active Weight Control system
which interfaces with a checkweigher to make on-the-fly adjustments to
compensate for variations in product density to insure accurate fills and
minimize product “give-away”.
